شاہین شاہ آفریدی نے باؤلنگ کا آغاز کیا تو افغانستان کے اوپنرز نے ان کے خلاف دفاعی انداز اپنایا۔

پاکستان نے میچ کے دوسرے ہی اوور میں اہم کامیابی حاصل کی اور عماد وسیم نے اوپننگ بلے باز حضرت اللہ زازئی کو چلتا کردیا۔

محمد شہزاد نے شاہین کو چوکا لگایا لیکن ایک گیند بعد دوبارہ اسی کوشش میں بابر اعظم کو آسان کیچ دے بیٹھے۔

پاکستان کو جلد ہی ایک اور وکٹ لینے کا بھی موقع ملا لیکن پاکستانی فیلڈرز نے رن آؤٹ کا موقع ضائع کردیا۔

بابر اعظم پاور پلے کے پانچویں اوور میں باؤلنگ کے لیے حارث رؤف کو لائے جنہوں نے ایک مرتبہ پھر کپتان کے اعتماد پر پورا اترتے ہوئے اصغر افغان کو اپنی ہی گیند پر کیچ کر لیا جنہوں نے 10رنز بنائے تھے۔

حارث رؤف نے اس اوور میں 153 کلومیٹر فی گھنٹہ(95میل) کی رفتار سے ٹورنامنٹ کی تیز ترین گیند بھی کرائی۔

حسن علی نے اپنے اسپیل کی پہلی ہی گیند پر کپتان بابراعظم کی مدد سے 10 رنز بنانے والے رحمٰن اللہ گرباز کو چلتا کردیا۔

چار وکٹیں گرنے کے بعد نجیب اللہ زدران اور کریم جنت نے اسکور کو 64 تک پہنچایا لیکن عماد وسیم نے اپنے کوٹے کے آخری اوور کی پہلی گیند پر کریم جنت کی وکٹ حاصل کر لی۔

پانچ وکٹیں گرنے کے بعد کپتان محمد نبی وکٹ پر آئے اور افغانستان نے اپنی حکمت عملی میں تبدیلی کرتے ہوئے سنبھل کر بیٹنگ کرنا شروع کردی اور اس دوران حسن علی نے اننگز کا 12واں اوور میڈن کرایا۔

نجیب اللہ زدران نے شاداب خان کو چھکا لگایا لیکن پاکستانی اسپنر نے بہترین انداز میں میچ میں واپسی کرتے ہوئے اگلی ہی گیند پر انہیں وکٹ کیپر کے ہاتھوں کیچ کرا دیا۔

76 رنز پر چھ وکٹیں گرنے کے بعد محمد نبی کا ساتھ دینے گلبدین نائب آئے اور دونوں بلے بازوں نے ٹیم کو سنبھالا دیتے ہوئے ساتویں وکٹ کے لیے 71رنز کی شراکت قائم کر کے اپنی ٹیم کو معقول مجموعے تک رسائی دلائی۔

اننگز کے 18ویں اوور میں افغان بلے باز گلبدین نائب نے حسن علی کے خلاف جارحانہ انداز اپنایا اور ان کے ایک اوور میں 21 رنز بنائے اور پھر حارث رؤف کے اگلے اوور میں 15رنز بٹورے۔

افغانستان نے مقررہ اوورز میں 6 وکٹوں کے نقصان پر 147رنز بنائے، محمد نے 35 گیندوں پر 35 جبکہ گلبدین نائب نے 25 گیندوں پر 35رنز بنائے۔

افغانستان نے آخری پانچ اوورز میں کوئی وکٹ گنوائے بغیر 54رنز بنائے۔

پاکستان کی جانب سے عماد وسیم دو وکٹیں لے کر سب سے کامیاب باؤلر رہے جبکہ حسن علی، شاداب خان، شاہین شاہ آفریدی اور حارث رؤف نے ایک، ایک وکٹ لی۔

پاکستان نے ہدف کا تعاقب شروع کیا تو اوپنرز محمد رضوان اور بابراعظم نے محتاط انداز میں اننگز کا آغاز کیا۔

تاہم اننگز کے تیسرے اوور میں چھکا مارنے کی کوشش میں محمد رضوان باؤنڈری پر کیچ ہو گئے۔
