ابوظبی میں کھیلے گئے میچ میں افٖغانستان کے کپتان محمد نبی نے ٹاس جیت کر پہلے خود بیٹنگ کا فیصلہ کیا تھا اور 5وکٹوں کے نقصان پر 160رنز بنائے تھے۔

افغانستان کی ٹیم نے بیٹنگ کا آغاز کیا تو حضرت اللہ زازئی اور محمد شہزاد نے نمیبیا کی ٹیم کے خلاف 53 رنز کا آغاز فراہم کیا۔

اس شراکت کا خاتمہ اس وقت ہوا جب ساتویں اوور میں حضرت اللہ 27 گیندوں پر 33 رنز بنا کر جے جے اسمتھ کی گیند پر آؤٹ ہوگئے۔

رحمٰن اللہ گُرباز اور محمد شہزاد نے اسکور کو 68 تک پہنچایا ہی تھا کہ رحمٰن اللہ چار رنز بنانے کے بعد ایل بی ڈبلیو قرار پائے ۔

محمد شہزاد نے 45 رنز کی اننگز کھیلی لیکن وہ نصف سنچری مکمل نہ کر سکے اور 89 کے مجموعے پر ٹرمل مین کی گیند پر شولٹز کو کیچ دے بیٹھے جبکہ نجیب اللہ بھی صرف 7 رنز بنا سکے۔

113 رنز پر چار وکٹیں گرنے کے بعد اصغر افغان کا ساتھ دینے کپتان محمد نبی آئے اور دونوں نے اختتامی اوورز میں جارحانہ بیٹنگ کرتے ہوئے 35 رنز کی شراکت قائم کی، اصغر 23 گیندوں پر 31 رنز بنانے کے بعد آؤٹ ہوئے۔

محمد نبی نے جارحابیٹنگ جاری رکھی اور 17 گیندوں پر 32 رنز کی اننگز کھیلی، جس کی بدولت افغانستان کی ٹیم مقررہ اوورز میں 5 وکٹوں کے نقصان پر 160رنز بنا سکی۔

نمیبیا کی جانب سے جان نکول لوفٹی ایٹن اور ٹرمپل مین نے دو دو جبکہ اسمٹس نے ایک وکٹ لی۔

نمیبیا نے اننگز کا آغاز کیا تو پہلے ہی اوور میں نوین الحق نے کریگ ولیمز کو چلتا کردیا اور پھر اپنے اگلے اوور میں مائیکل وین لنگن کی اننگز کا بھی خاتمہ کردیا۔

پاور پلے کے خاتمے سے قبل نمیبیا کو تیسرا نقصان اس وقت پہنچا جب جان نکول لوفٹی ایٹن 14 رنز بنانے کے بعد گلبدین نائب کو وکٹ دے بیٹھے۔

اسکور ابھی 36 تک پہنچا ہی تھا کہ راشد خان نے اپنے پہلے ہی اوور میں زین گرین کو چلتا کر کے ٹیم کو چوتھی کامیابی دلائی۔

کپتان جیرہارڈ ایراسمس اور ڈیوڈ ویزے نے ٹیم کی نصف سنچری مکمل کرائی لیکن ایراسمس 14 گیندوں پر 12 رنز بنانے کے بعد حامد حسن کی وکٹ بن گئے اور ایک گیند بعد ہی جے جے اسمٹس کی اننگز بھی اختتام کو پہنچی۔

نمیبیا کی وکٹیں گرنے کا سلسلہ تھم نہ سکا اور نوین الحق نے اپنی تیسری وکٹ حاصل کرتے ہوئے جان فرائی لنک کو 6 رنز پر چلتا کردیا جبکہ پکی یا فرانس بھی صرف تین رنز بنا سکے۔

ڈیوڈ ویزے نے 26 رنز کی اننگز کھیلی لیکن حامد حسن نے شاندار باؤلنگ جاری رکھتے ہوئے تیسری وکٹ حاصل کر لی۔

نمیبیا کی ٹیم مقررہ اوورز میں 9 وکٹوں کے نقصان پر 98 رنز بناسکی اور افغانستان نے میچ میں 62 رنز سے کامیابی حاصل کر لی۔

افغانستان کی جانب سے حامد حسن نے شاندار اسپیل کرتے ہوئے صرف 9 رنز دے کر 3 وکٹیں حاصل کیں تاہم 26 رنز کے عوض تین اہم وکٹیں لینے والے نوین الحق کو میچ کا بہترین کھلاڑی قرار دیا گیا۔

میچ کے لیے دونوں ٹیمیں ان کھلاڑیوں مشتمل تھیں۔
