دبئی میں کھیلے گئے میچ میں پاکستان نے ٹاس جیت کر اسکاٹ لینڈ کو پہلے باؤلنگ کی دعوت دی۔

پاکستان کے اوپنرز بابراعظم اور محمد رضوان نے محتاط انداز میں اننگز کا آغاز کیا اور اسکاٹ لینڈ کے باؤلرز نے بھی نپی تلی باؤلنگ کی۔

دونوں کھلاڑیوں نے اسکور کو 35 تک پہنچایا لیکن اسی مرحلے پر رضوان وکٹ کیپر کو کیچ دے کر چلتے بنے۔

فخر زمان ایک مرتبہ بھی بڑی اننگز نہ کھیل پائے اور صرف 8 رنز بنا کر حمزہ طاہر کی گیند پر آؤٹ ہوگئے۔

دوسرے اینڈ سے بابراعطم نے عمدہ بیٹنگ کا سلسلہ جاری رکھتے ہوئے ٹورنامنٹ میں اپنی چوتھی نصف سنچری مکمل کی اور حفیظ کے ساتھ 53 رنز کی شراکت قائم کی، حفیظ 18 گیندوں پر 31 رنز بنانے کے بعد ایل بی ڈبلیو ہو گئے۔

بابر اعظم 47 گیندوں پر 3 چھکوں اور 5 چوکوں کی مدد سے 66 رنز بنانے کے بعد وکٹ گنوا بیٹھے۔

بابر اعظم کے آؤٹ ہونے کے بعد شعیب ملک نے جارحانہ انداز اپنایا اور شاندار بیٹنگ کرتے ہوئے صرف 18 گیندوں پر نصف سنچری مکمل کی۔

شعیب ملک نے 18 گیندوں پر 6 چھکوں اور ایک چوکے کی مدد سے 54 رنز کی اننگز کھیلی۔

23 کے مجموعی اسکور پر حسن علی نے پاکستان کو پہلی کامیابی دلاتے ہوئے کائل کوئٹزر کو چلتا کردیا، انہوں نے 9رنز بنائے۔

پاکستان کو دوسری کامیابی کے لیے بھی زیادہ دیر انتظار نہ کرنا پڑا اور میتھیو کراس رن آؤٹ ہوئے تو اسکاٹ لینڈ کی ٹیم 36رنز پر دو وکٹیں گنوا چکی تھی۔

ابھی ٹیم اس نقصان سے سنبھلی بھی نہ تھی کہ شاداب خان نے جیارج مُنسے اور ڈائلن بج کو چلتا کر کے پاکستان کو یکے بعد دیگرے کامیابیاں دلائیں۔

41 رنز پر چار وکٹین گرنے کے بعد مائیکل لیسک اور رچی بیرنگٹن وکٹ پر یکجا ہوئے اور 46 رنز کی شراکت قائم کی لیکن شاہین نے 14 رنز بنانے والے لیسک کی وکٹیں بکھیر کر پاکستان کو پانچویں کامیابی دلائی۔
