دو روز قبل نجی کالج کے گلبرگ کیمپس میں سیکیورٹی گارڈ کی جانب سے مبینہ طور پر فرسٹ ایئر کی طالبہ کو ریپ کا نشانہ بنانے کی خبر سوشل میڈیا پر وائرل ہونے کے بعد پولیس نے سیکیورٹی گارڈ کو گرفتار کرلیا تھا۔

بعد ازاں کالج طلبہ سمیت سماجی کارکنان کی جانب سے طالبہ کے مبینہ ریپ کے خلاف احتجاج بھی کیا گیا تھا، جس دوران پولیس نے 27 افراد کو حراست میں بھی لیا تھا۔

بعد ازاں پولیس اور متاثرہ بچی کے مبینہ والد اور دیگر رشتے داروں نے بچی سے ریپ کے واقعے کو جھوٹا قرار دیا تھا۔

واقعے کے بعد جہاں مختلف سیاسی و سماجی افراد نے اظہار افسوس کرتے ہوئے ملزم کو کیفر کردار تک پہنچانے کا مطالبہ کیا، وہیں متعدد شوبز شخصیات نے بھی واقعے پر اظہار برہمی کرتے ہوئے حکومت اور پولیس کو آڑے ہاتھوں لیا۔

سپر اسٹار ماہرہ خان نے بھی واقعے کی مذمت کرتے ہوئے احتجاج کرنے والے طلبہ کو انتظامیہ کی جانب سے ہراساں کیے جانے پر بھی اظہار برہمی کیا۔

اداکارہ امر خان نے طالبہ کے ریپ کے بعد احتجاج کرنے والے طلبہ پر تشدد کی ویڈیوز پر رد عمل دیتے ہوئے پولیس اور انتظامیہ کے عمل کو باعث شرم قرار دیا۔

اداکارہ نازش جہانگیر نے واقعے کی مذمت کرتے ہوئے دعا کی کہ خدا پاک تمام بچیوں کو اپنی حفظ و امان میں رکھے۔
